This week-end’s snowstorm and massive precipitations (41cm) have catapulted Mont-Sainte-Anne into an all time record: the great mountain has been buried under more than 6 meters of snow since the beginning of the season, 633cm to be exact! Its seems that one person’s shovelling nightmare is a skier’s dream come true, as proven by the thousands of skiers and riders that have gathered to experience the best snow in the province!
633cm: a record season!
The last record was broken in 96-97, when the season had closed at 562cm. Last year, at the same date, the meter was at 322cm! Currently, powder and groomed powder covers 100% of the runs, which have been and remained open since December. Stoneham, our sister resort, has also received a hefty 533cm, compared to 321cm last year at a similar time! And to think to season still has 43 days at Mont-Sainte-Anne...!
Good news for spring skiing!
The last days are flying by and spring skiing is on the white horizon! All this snow will certainly rejoice skiers and riders who come take in the energizing snow and the flurry of great activities planned for the Volkswagen Spring Madness Festival, from March 29th to April 27th! Don’t miss out on anything: get a 3 night stay and 3 days of skiing for the price of 2! Starting at 191$ per person for the hole stay, one might say that prices are melting at Mont-Sainte-Anne, not the record breaking snow!
