The Great Colour Adventure, from September 19th to October 12th 2009
In addition to the tonic breeze and invigorating views, Mont-Sainte-Anne has put together a lively calendar of exclusive event for the Great Colour Adventure… Something for everyone: athletes, young families, friends who enjoy ‘’’joie de vivre’’!
September 19th – Camping at the summit with Bougex: over 400 campers gather at the top of the mountain and witness the amazing sight of watching the sun rise at Mont-Sainte-Anne!
September 19-20th – I conquered my Everest: the 5th edition of the fund-raiser for Quebec’s Breast Cancer foundation. Hikers and survivors climb the mountain as often as they can in 24hours.
September 26th: Mont-Sainte-Anne /Swix ascent and Mushroom discovery
All athletes from all levels can try to ascend to mountain by bike or on foot during this friendly race. Those who are most curious can take part in the free wild mushroom hunt workshop, which includes an identification conference as well as a tasting.
September 27th: MTB Freeride Cup, Corn roast and Orientation Challenge
The classic mountain bike competition promises to be quite the show again this year, with a new track and a rider’s corn roast at the end of the day! During the Orientation challenge, participants must reach a maximum of control points hidden across the mountain and get most points. The further and the harder to reach the control points are, the more points are awarded to the team.
October 3rd: Gourmet experience at the summit and Kids bike race
The region’s greatest chefs are preparing bites of their signature dishes for all to enjoy! Take part in a wine tasting to accompany your treats. 1$ a coupon, all profits go to the local hospital’s foundation. Little ones can participate in the mountain bike race, on a specially designed trail, for their skill level. Each participant is a winner: everyone gets a surprise gift!
October 4th: Explosion of colours and flavours at the top and Hiking workshops by Rossignol
The best local products, concocted by local artists of terroir, are showcased and sold at the top. Also, our 50km + hiking trails are the star of the day – experts are there for the day to teach us cross-country jogging techniques, how to plan long distance hikes, how to use a compass and also to show Nordic walking techniques. Make the most of your hikes!
October 10th: The Great Pumpkin hunt
1000 pumpkins are hidden across the base of the mountain – find yours and head to the decorating workshop, hosted by Benjo. The ideal activity for the little ones!
October 11th: dog outing and show by Quebec band Karkwa!
Master and their best friends rule the day! Try out Canicross, a special workshop where dog owners team up with their pet and take part in a special challenge. In the evening, starting at 7:00pm, don’t miss the closing show with renowned local singer Marie-Pierre Arthur and the rock band Karkwa! The show is followed by a special fireworks presentation.

Head to Mont-Sainte-Anne and treat your family to a memorable Sunday brunch at Mont-Sainte-Anne’s summit lodge and take in the breath-taking views and colours!
