Mont-Sainte-Anne and Stoneham Mountain Resort had a super-loaded summer! In addition to the exhaustive list of summer activities going on, the resorts were thinking WHITE and prepared impressive changes and news for skiers and riders! Here are just a few of the many improvements completed by our summer crew:
- Mont-Sainte-Anne’s 100 gondolas have been completely refurbished, including a new colour and a fresh coat of paint, new high-tech windows and reupholstered cushions. What a ride!
- Mont-Sainte-Anne’s Summit Chalet has also been refreshed with a brand new terrace, roof and new colours for the building. The new earth tones harmonise with the view of the St-Lawrence and Charlevoix hillside.
- Mont-Sainte-Anne’s base has been completely reorganised creating a huge open area for the enjoyment of all guests. Skiers, riders or not.
- Improved beginner areas for both resorts; each resort has installed a brand new beginner’s lift.
Known as a "magic carpet", these lifts make the learning experience much easier and more enjoyable.
- Stoneham’s Hotel Stoneham has also undergone major improvements for this season.
- The addition of brand new intermediate level boarder-cross courses at each mountain. Accessible to all guests.
- Over all, 3 million dollars invested in both our resorts to improve facilities, add new features and provide an unforgettable experience to our guests.
- New inter generational season’s pass that allow grand-parents and grandchildren to ski together all season!
“La Passe” for all!
Students made everyone jealous last year with “La Passe”. This new season’s pass provided for unlimited night skiing at both our resorts for only *119$ to full-time students aged 23 years or less. Imagine having to choose between Quebec’s highest areas for night skiing! Adults will now have access to “La Passe” for only *149$. Don’t forget that “La Passe” is only available until December 24th. What a great stocking stuffer!

Mont-Sainte-Anne has undergone a complete makeover!
Discover the new colors of our fully renovated gondolas! In addition, the exterior of the Summit Chalet has been completely redone, our large terrace has been refurbished and the exterior of the chalet now boasts new colors that combine warm colors and earth tones. The magnificent and unique view of the St-Lawrence River and the Beaupré Coast continue to amaze visitors!
Back at the base, the whole area has been refurbished and now offers an exceptional space for beginners. You will now find the longest magic carpet in the East right at the base of Mont-Sainte-Anne. This 185 meter magic carpet will bring beginners to the top of the bunny hill easily and safely. All of the older buildings at the base of the mountain have disappeared and folks can now enjoy the exploits of their children in the beginner's area while they enjoy the comfort of our refurbished terrace.
Even more innovation at Stoneham this year!
For a second consecutive year, we have concentrated on mountain improvements at Stoneham Mountain Resort! Big news! The resort has installed a second magic carpet lift in the beginner area. The addition of this new beginner's lift will provide safe and easy access to the whole learning area at the base of the mountain. Measuring 140m, the magic carpet can carry up to 1.500 people per hour, virtually eliminating waiting time for this lift. With the acquisition of two new lifts for beginners, our resorts are a step closer to their mission, making an introduction to skiing and snowboarding enjoyable for all.
In addition, to the delight of all, a boarder-cross course will be built in the "Short-Cut" section of our terrain park. The beginner's snow park, located in the "Familiale" run (#19) will be doubled in size. These two innovations will be accessible to all, 7 days & nights a week! Don’t forget that Stoneham’s night skiing terrain remains the largest in the country, complemented by its legendary après-ski!
Cross-country skier, Alex Harvey, becomes Mont-Sainte-Anne’s official ambassador!
On the eve of his 22nd birthday, Alex Harvey is already an ambassador of Nordic skiing in Quebec and the rest of Canada. Through his website and newsletter, Alex keeps his fans informed at all times. In doing so, he has inspired many young people to engage in Nordic skiing, whether on a competitive or recreational basis. Alex is originally from St-Ferreol-les-Neiges, just beside Mont-Sainte-Anne. He spent his early days learning to ski and race at the mountain. The resort is proud to make Alex an official ambassador of Mont-Sainte-Anne and wishes him the best of success for the 2011 racing season. Good luck!
